Arnaud had a good run for a while, but caught a bad run of cards by the end of day 1 that finished when he shoved A3 got beat by Annette_15 who was committed with 64s and made a straight.

As for me I had an ideal day, I built my chips slowly to 20k, double the starting stack, and then called a huge all in bluff with just 55 on the turn. My opponnent showed just two overcards as I was hoping, and failed to improve on the river, which propelled me to 35k, a great stack at the time.

By the very end of the day I got very fortunate, getting it all in against last year winner and overall great guy Andrea Hoivoid. I held AQs and cracked his KK with style by getting quads! This pot had about 35k in it and got me up to 56k, amongst the chip leaders!

I'm very focused and playing great, so if lady lucks stays on my side, this has potential to get better! As always though day 1 is not the time to get excited yet ...
